I ran across this today and it seemed so timely.

Man… am I the only momma out there that’s feeling stressed??

There are so many unanswered questions for us as the new school year gets closer. As a teacher and a mom, I’m feeling all the feels… nervous, anxious, angry, scared, sad… and I can tell that other people are too.

Social media is a mess today!! People arguing and fighting, so sure that their was is the only way, unwilling to look at things from a different perspective. It’s sad and it’s scary and it’s unnerving.

But what it really boils down to is that we are ALL a little afraid. We are ALL stressed and worried. We are ALL tired!!

Let’s just try to stop and take a breath. Give people some grace. Give OURSELVES some grace. No one has the answers right now. And…. most people are really doing the best that they can do.

What can I do to feel better?

1. Take a break from social media!

2. Go outside. Go for a walk.

3. Look at your kids. Remember how lucky you are to be their parent, no matter how tough things feel right now.

4. Remember how much you still have to be grateful for. It’s hard to stay worried, mad, or scared when thoughts of gratitude are filling your head.

5. Grace. Offer it freely. To people who agree with you. To people who don’t. And most importantly, to yourself! ❤️
